For a first date, I would most likely meet someone in a very public place such as a restaurant, for dinner, or a drink, etc. just to meet in person the first time to see if we hit it off or if I am attracted to the person If things go well, and we both seem to have chemistry going on and like each other and are definitely interested, then the date would probably extend from just a drink or dinner, to want to (go listen to a good band somewhere and hang out a while.)
