Hi to all like me looking for someone with whom I can share my happy times. I've felt successful before finding a partner online and I'm now ready to start this again.

First, here's what makes me similar to others. Like most people, I like a lot of the usual stuff - dinners, NYC, concerts, the beach, hiking, James Taylor, rock music, Sunday mornings with someone special, hanging out with my great friends and family, traveling to the Caribbean, Italy, and out West, work out at a gym regularly, softball, most sports, picnics, and I'm optimistic about finding someone that I'm romantically attracted to that I'd like to be with for the rest of my life.

Now, what begins to separate me from others is I just became a certified scuba diver and I saw two sharks, a barracuda, and a lion fish. I have sung and played my guitar on the radio with my friends and the radio station has asked us to do it again. I've been a counselor for over 25 years and a licensed mental health therapist for nine years. I still love my job. I've written an Anger Mgmt Manual and published a couple of studies in professional journals. I've had a best friend for over 40 years. I keep other friends like luggage. I've agreed to be a Godfather to the children of three different friends. I've gotten so many people to laugh out loud while spitting out their food and drink that I've lost count. I can talk about my feelings better than most and I prefer to walk around smiling.

I am looking for someone who prefers to walk around smiling and has some of the same interests as I do, some more important than others. Someone who has admirable emotional intelligence and knows how to be a friend would be a plus...I know you're out there, so bring it on!

Ah! A first date...generally, this has involved dinner and drinks. In the past, I've walked along the beach as well or walked around NYC. Plenty of Fish says that if I make this longer, I'll be more successful, but my wonderous first dates have generally been as written...
