So I have been all over. Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, California, Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, and a lot of places in between. I always had this idea that I would bump into Ms. Right somewhere cool, like the Rocky Mountains or at a bonfire on Venice Beach. Guess not.

In a past life I was a jet-setting engineer. For family reasons I took a job as a research administrator at a local university about a year ago.

What I like: Laughter. Sunshine. Exercise. College football. The local corn mazes and pumpkin patches. Chicago museums. Lazy Saturday afternoons. A couch, some popcorn, and a good movie. Anything having to do nature - camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing. Travel - I absolutely love to travel. I will go anywhere, but especially love the mountains.

I have a son in middle school who lives with me full-time.

I am sarcastic, but in a good way.

I moonlight as a contract assassin. Ask me about my introductory special.

I make a killer cheesecake.

I read a lot of literature and non-fiction.

I'm romantic and sentimental, yet a very practical person.

I spend a lot of my free time helping others.

I spend more time on Facebook than I'd care to admit.

I am the walrus.

As far as my date goes, I'm looking for a fun, open, emotionally mature woman who has her priorities in order. Preferably someone with whom I can hold an intelligent conversation and who lives in the same area code. Beyond that, I'm pretty open - surprise me!
