I am seeking to meet and make friends. If it is "right", the friendship will blossom/ignite into more and if it isnt, a friendship is still a precious thing that I cherish and would seek to pursue.
I live in Marietta and would like to meet people within a 25 miles radius give or take.
My children 11 an 13, whom I adore, are with me every other weekend, and am looking for friends to do things with on the weekends (and possibly some weeknights)when they are not with me. I am busy with a lot of good things happening in my life-such as school and renovating a house for the first few months of 2010. I share this with you so that you know that although I want to have someone special in my life to share with, I wont have loads of time for spontaneity for simple scheduling reasons. What time we do have together I will be Present for you.
I have recently discovered a real love and joy of cooking with a friend, of creating together, of sharing the celebration of life that a meal can be. A good bottle of wine and music certainly add to the celebration and make things more enjoyable. Although I am educated, experienced and worldly in many other ways my cooking, like my dancing is native, raw talent-I am not yet schooled in these but certainly wanting to learn and grow....that applies to everything in life I guess.
I divorced in summer of 2006-the reason I share this is that it may be relevant to you and to whether we are in similar stages in our lives post divorce...I am just now beginning to write this new chapter of my life.
Yoga is very important in my lfe and is very much a philosophy of life for me-but then again I seek the wisdom of all the ages and sages and dont necessarily ascribe to only one. I am similarly eclectic and not necessarily a conformist when it comes to many other issues-whether they be political (domestic), social, economic, geo-political etc. Politically I am an Independent and spiritually I dont ascribe to Religion, but I am a man of Spirit and Faith...It's just not conventional.
There is much more to tell you and show you about me, but I will endeavor to keep it brief so you can ask me what you want to know about me.
And in the end, in a relationship, it is about what you think of/about me than what I may think about myself.

Whatever makes a lady comfortable-It could be coffee or tea, or drinks, It could be the Atlanta Botanical Gardens or the High or a variety of other venues, so long as my friend is comfortable. I prefer quiet, intimate settings where people can speak and share-I'm not into bars. The first meeting should be simple and definitely stress free for both of us.
