I am with beard. Hopefully, you are not. I don't usually let it go all mountain man, and try to keep it within acceptable social norms.

I'm a pretty laid back, easygoing guy. I love getting out to play all kinds of sports (shocking), but spend plenty of time reading. I did my degree in English and History, and am able to hold up my end of the conversation in most subjects.

I lived in South Korea for a year teaching English (I know, I know... everyone and their sister). After a brief stint back home I made my way to Australia and lived in Melbourne for just over a year. It was a year of beach, beer, and bluegrass, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world (it’s hard to be unhappy when you win a trip to Egypt on the radio a few weeks after returning home).

Obviously I love to travel (more a fan of long trips than whirlwind vacations, but that is becoming less and less of an option). Somehow I have been on the Great Wall, been inside the Great Pyramids, and snorkeled above the Great Barrier Reef(I think I'm running out of locations with "Great" in the title), but haven't been to Europe yet. I suppose some people were meant to do things backwards.

I spent my childhood in the suburbs and am now trying to make the most of living downtown. Its tough getting people out of their living rooms sometimes, and I'm hoping to find someone to explore the city with.

I speak French reasonably well (enough to teach at a French Immersion school), and can drop a few phrases in some others. "I'm a brave lobster" sounds remarkably mysterious in Spanish.

What am I looking for? Someone who is just as happy in jeans and a t-shirt, as a sundress. Someone quirky and cute. I've got a good sense of humour and a pretty rye wit... gotta laugh love, that's all there is.

I like the idea of meeting up for a drink somewhere quiet. You can message each other all you want, but you never know how you'll get along in person until you're face to face. Probably a good idea to save the four hour zoo hike until you know if you can spend more than 10 minutes with the other person, ya know?
