My friends describe my personality and traits as easy-going, laid back, funny/witty, always smiling, positive, honest, patient, and genuine. I must admit that I am soft spoken and sometimes a little quiet when I first meet someone, but once I get to know a person I open up and have fun.

I enjoy just about anything... such as hanging out with my friends, having BBQ's, or playing almost any sport, such as flag football, snowboarding, basketball, softball, bowling, miniature golf or shooting pool. I also like going to the lake or the beach during the summer, road trips, watching movies, watching sports, occasionally going out with my friends to bars or dancing, 2nd Saturday, Concert in the Park, riding bikes through downtown Sac, and most importantly, spending time with my kids.

I have two boys who are 8 1/2 and 7 and they are the greatest. Since I only have them half of the time, I try to make the time I spend with them quality time. The age they are at right now is a lot of fun and I try to do a variety of things with them to keep them entertained and let them enjoy life. I'm not looking for someone to be their Mom just someone who respects the time I spend with them.

So what am I looking for? Obviously someone to date and eventually have a long-term relationship with... but I'm not trying to rush things. I'm willing to take my time to find the right person. The things I value in a relationship are people who are honest, affectionate, funny, easy-going, outgoing, confident but not stuck on themselves, caring, and appreciative. I also value someone who will be there during the tough times because everyone has them. I like people who are flexible and willing to try new things. Someone who can spend a quiet evening at home or is willing to have a fun night out on the town with me and my friends on occasion. I think each person should have a little bit of their own time as well.

I think for a first date, you should probably go to a place where it's easy to talk to each other.... Like grabbing lunch in the afternoon or a drink after work at a place that isn't too noisy.
