Life here in the mountains and the redwoods of Northern California, 50 miles from any traffic light, is great! I love dogs, horses, and other critters. I am active in my community in volunteer organizations. I love classes, workshops and seminars. I am a part-time professor at a community college, starting August 2009.
I enjoy thinking and discussions, road trips and broader travel, visiting friends, reading, horseback riding, sailing (used to be a racer and then instructor) and other outdoor activities. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring. I'll bet I could get good at golf pretty quickly.
Humor, honesty, and reliability are important traits in a friend and partner. Becoming friends and getting to know one another is the first step. Laughing at my jokes will earn you extra points.
I love some old-fashioned things. I crochet and would like to teach other people to crochet, too, especially youth. I like it when a man holds doors open, brings flowers, carries or at least offers to carry bags, stuff like that. I like it too if he understands that I've been on my own for a long time and simply forget to ask for help, or do not know if I am imposing.
I seek a long-term sweetheart and partner. Chemistry, that spark between two people, must be nurtured with care and sweetness for a grand love adventure! I might be willing to relocate, if everything else is compatible.
In an effort to better describe my quirky approach to life, and find a truly compatible partner, here we go, off the deep end. I see myself as a lightworker and truthbearer. Likely a fellow will have to be on a similar path and mission in order for us to be compatible in daily life. To better understand, I recommend the books like “Bringers of The Dawn” by Barbara Marciniak and “Return of the Bird Tribes” by Ken Carey.

Musically I like a lot of variety: classic rock, some country, some classical, some blues, modern protest and political music.
I am strong-willed and will fight for what I believe in. I'm bored with standard operating procedures, with duality. There are millions of creative options, if we have vision and imagination. "Imagination is more important than knowledge" according to Albert Einstein. Check out the "Black Eyed Peas" mob dance in Chicago video with Oprah. See what a little imagination and fun can create?
I love to talk about current events; I love to look for conspiracies and point out paradoxes.
I refer to myself as a cancer veteran, because once is more than enough and veteran bespeaks being finished with it. I've gotten my feist back and I am ready to change the world!
Alternately, I can be soft and sensual, relaxed and laughing, curious and perceptive. I do love kissing, when that stage is reached.
When I grow up I want to be a wealthy philanthropist.

If the weather is not great, then a small meal or tea-and-scones type of place, a museum or other indoor area or event.
