Hi, I'm a happy go lucky guy who's looking for the woman who will make heart beat a little faster and give me those butterflies in the stomach. I love playing soccer, scuba diving, and many other activities. I would like to meet a compassionate, family oriented, smart woman who's looking to meet her equal.


Music - I grew up with a lot of 70's french music that my parents listened to and I remembered from my childhood. Anything from Charles Aznavour, Dimis Roussous, and Dalida. I always love 80's love soft rock love ballads, (I feel a zit coming on every time I hear Stairway to heaven), grunge, and RED HOT CHILI PEPPER, and some real R&B and Reggae (Especially Snow), and much more, but this should give you an idea about my musical taste.

Movies: All Alfred Hitchcock movies are classic, well most of them anyway. Casablanca, and cheezy 60's sci fi, and horror, especially Rosemary's Baby. One of my favourite current directors is M. Knight Shyamalan, the Coen Brothers (I loved Burn before Reading), and American Beauty. Oh, and I can't believe I'm adding this movie to the list but somehow I love it, , and the movie is Chicago. Something about the whole roaring 20's thing, the jazz music atmosphere, it was really amazing which surprised me because I'm not usually into these kinds of musicals unless it's Grease ofcourse.


About who I am: I'm a teacher by profession (My second career) and although I love it, but I believe in the mantra: work to live and NOT live to work. I love my family, and am very close to my 9 year old niece and 6 year old nephew with whom I love to death. I aspire to do so many things in life, but above all, I strive to live a good happy life always involving family and close friends.

P.S. I love dancing. I took ballroom and latin for a year and did some very minor competitions which was exhilarating. I have my Bronze 1 certification and hope to do more with that in the future.

Quirks and likes: I love writing, and somehow I find it therapeutic and soothing when I unload my musings once in a while. I love cheerful people and positive people, sense of humour, (I'm always the one entertaining friends with my humour though), people who don't take themselves too seriously, dark humour, and especially the self-deprecating kind. I love the beach, and have a mini obsession with lighthouses. I guess maybe there's something foreboding about lighthouses, or maybe it's just something that connects me to distant memories from reading certain Agatha Christie novels in my teens. Also, the smell of fresh paint reminds me of summer, and beachhouses on the Mediterranean (again childhood stuff), Khalil Jibran, Dali paintings, and open spaces with lots of windows and very little furniture.


Books: Who dunnit novels. One of my favourite authors are Johanthan Kellerman and Jeffrey Deaver. I love political non-fiction ,especially anything to do with the middle east. The classics include my all time ultimate favourites, 1984, Animal farm, Aldous Huxley, Crime and Punishment by Dostoevosky, and anything Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie.


Dislikes/Pet Peeves: Arrogance, angry people, pessimists, (although a dose of realism is good), pretentiousness, and political correctness. I dislike people who create drama and blame all their problems on other people. Other pet peeves: Ethnic food smells in old buildings, unhygienic people, anime, and adults who are atrocious spellers, especially the ones who insist on adding the apostrophe indiscriminately even when there's no need for the possessive.


My Phobias: Elevators by myself, (I got stuck in one by myself as a kid), but somehow I manage to go in one when I have to, otherwise I'll climb up the stairs if I'm not going to the 14th floor or something.

O.K. something fun, with a chance to talk and get to know one another. I don't think the whole evening should involve talking, and there should be something fun to do during the date. Something like lunch or dinner at a nice restaurant, and if the chemistry and vibes are there, then maybe a show afterwards, or comedy club.
