I am a diverse individual. My faith is an important part of my life. I am devoted to my kids and take them into consideration when making any decision in my life. I am kind; I feel I treat others like I want to be treated. I am generous; members of my family and close circle of friends benefit from my giving nature as well as strangers in need.I am easygoing, but by no means a pushover. Although most of the time I am rather soft-spoken, I do have a voice and am willing to use it especially when I see injustice. Looking for friends and dates with similar traits. I would like to meet someone with whom I can have an intelligent conversation, who will really listen to what I have to say. I would like to develop a good friendship and see where it goes from there.
I just recently graduated from SUNY Potsdam, with degrees in history, sociology, and women and gender studies. I intend to go on for my masters in teaching. My goal is to become a MS/HS Social Studies Teacher. Anyone interested in me will need to be understanding and supportive of this, as this is an important endeavor; I am not willing to give up on it. I will be equally understanding and supportive of your ideas, dreams, and goals. You know what they say-behind every good man is a good woman. Well I just hope it works both ways; ultimately we'll end up side by side, ready to face the world together.
I play piano, organ,clarinet and enjoy music of all kinds, but esp. classic rock (60's/70's-the stuff I grew up listening to). I enjoy karate, water aerobics, walking for exercise. I love dancing and a wide variety of activities.
P.S. Did I mention I can be a bit of a smart@$$..lol..never mean though..and I can take as good as I give. Quickest way to my heart? Make me laugh. Make me think on top of that, then you've really piqued my interest.I know I can do the same, make you laugh and make you think. So what are you waiting for?

On first dates it is nice to meet someplace public and neutral, have some lunch or a cup of coffee and get to know each other. If it goes well, the date could be extended to dinner...ending with a kiss is always nice if there seems to be chemistry, but anything else is saved till I know you better. Believe me though....it's worth the wait... ;-)
