I find myself drawn more toward the calming, peaceful, simple pleasures of life: twilight, fresh air near a stream, warm companionship, children's laughter, hot tea on a cool evening, soothing massage. In my mid-life, I come to see how much experience, perspective, knowledge and affection I have to share with people in my life. I think the best way to convey life's inexpressible truths is through stories and poems, and devote the second part of my life to publishing them. My first trilogy is an archetype autobiography, essentially one mans' quest to become himself. I plan to surf more, play hockey, bike and stay fit, grow my rustic woodworking and natural building business--called Wild Things--and continue my authentic life. And to settle into the mystery and nourishment of love and peace. Sound like a hippie slogan? If you notice there isn't anything humorously clever or tantalizingly seductive in this essay, and understand why, let me know.

If we meet in person and find we still feel the attraction and possibility we noticed online and in a couple phone calls... We walk down main street, and each of us gets 3 places to go into, whether restaurant, bar, store, park, hotel, anything... In there we show the other person what we like about that place and what we would explore, buy, discover, browse. That way each of us would go 3 places that we might not otherwise and have a new experience, and learn something about the other. That would be fun!
