About Me
I design custom homes primarily for the beachfront. I really enjoy the work I do, but I want to enjoy family, close friends and travel more. I do not plan to ever completely retire. Architecture is too much fun!
I live and work in Galveston. Before that, I lived in West U and the Galleria areas of Houston. I was born in Kentucky.
I am a good listener. That is a habit of my profession.
I like big families, but I came from a small family. Just one younger brother. I have two children and have joint custody, so they are in my home sometime.
My son is 12 and my best friend. My son has helped me to look at life again thru the eyes of a child. From an early age, I have written down all his amazing revelations about life. For example, when he was 2 he borrowed my reading glasses thinking that was what made people able to read. He sat back and waited for the magic to begin. Once we were watching the news. The TV showed photos of terrorists. My son asked "Why do all the bad guys have beards?" Kids really do perceive the world differently than adults.
My daughter is 16. She is now driving. When she was 4, I mentioned that her mom was going to have a boy baby. In shock, she protested that "boys have boy babies and girls have girl babies". But, when we brought her brother home from the hospital, she announced she was going to marry him because he was so beautiful.
My leisure time is spent playing tennis, sitting by the pool, travelling, watching funny movies and walking around town. Galveston is an historic "pedestrian" town. Galveston is a great place to live and raise kids. You always feel like you are on vacation here."
First Date
The first meeting seems like something that should be mutually decided. I would like to meet somewhere a little quiet at first so we could get to know each other. But, I like movies, concerts (inside and out), jazz bars, sushi bars, nice restuarants, and all kinds of museums.
