A guy I work with used the statement "your hair is the same color as my hummer" as a pick-up line on who ended up being his girlfriend. I couldn't help but use it as my headline. It's so ridiculous how can you not think it's funny?

Anyways, I moved here two years ago from Wisconsin for my dream job: I am a firefighter/EMT for Memphis Fire Department. I love it, whether battling the red devil, helping people at medical emergencies, or just hanging out with fellow firefighters; everyday is a new adventure. I am also licensed as a registered nurse, that's what I got my degree in. Currently I'm in paramedic school too.

In addition to spending time with family and friends, what I listed as interests is really what I seek out in life. Personality-wise I am independent, motivated, down-to-earth, easy-going, and mature. Although, I can be serious at times, I know how to loosen up and have fun too!! I have a quirky sense of humor that you'll experience and appreciate more as you get to know me! If you ever get to meet me, probably the first thing you'll notice that makes me different from any other guy here is I have a Wisconsin accent.

If you like what you see so far, give me a shout, lol, I don't think you'd be disappointed! I'm very open-minded and signed up for this to have the chance to meet women I otherwise would probably never even know of....

I think traditional first-dates like going out for coffee, lunch, dinner, going out for drinks are always an option, but sometimes too cliche. If there is an event or place that is more unique that both the guy and gal want to go to, it would probably make for a more special and memorable first date. I'd want to see what was going on around town and suggest other options to my date before we just settled on something traditional. Finally, I think movies can make good dates, but probably not good first dates.
