These descriptions all seem similar. I guess mine will be a lot like the others, too. I want to find a friend to go for long walks. I really do go for long walks. We have great parks in Jackson County. Bicycle rides—I am the fastest grandpa on the Little Blue Trace—a Jackson County park. Theater—I am a charter member of our local community theatre. Old music—I am putting together a really good ’60 era entertainment center to play vinyl records—old 33s. I started ballroom dancing last summer. It’s a lot of fun.
There is a lot to do. I’d like to find someone nice to do things with. First of all it is important to laugh. I find humor in most things and if I can’t make you laugh, your funny bone is broken. Also, I am attracted to women who handle their responsibilities well. Moms who think it’s important to raise their kids, respect their parents, take care of themselves, and find the fun in all of it are especially interesting to me.
The writers I like are for the most part humorists—Farley Mowat, Patrick F. McManus, John Mortimer, Bailey White to name a few. I am a fan of Mel Brooks, The Pythons, Chevy Chase and all the old Saturday Night Live crowd, A Christmas Story, and The Pink Panther.
I do not take myself too seriously and I hope to find someone with a similar outlook.

On a first date I’d like to do something simple like dinner and a movie or a play at one of our community theatres. Breakfast on Sunday followed by a walk through Powell Gardens is one of my favorites. A visit to a winery in Lees Summit, Weston, or even Baltimore Bend would be nice.
Any of these would give us a chance to talk and play without getting too involved. Then we can get down to work and plan an adventure.
