My preferences : I'm NOT interested in guys 40 or over, rather men closer to my age range. Thanks but no thanks.

I'm not interested in overly macho guys who love hunting and being or acting tough. It's okay to be manly and tough to a degree but I don't like when guys overdo it.

If anything I like well grounded down to earth men with a sense of maturity. To be rather frank I like guys that think outside the box and aren't afraid to break away from the macho stereotype.

I really love people who like the simpler things like conversation, cuddling and being close. I like to take relationships slow once involved, rather than go too fast. I am looking for a person who is kind with a nice sense of humor and can share some of my interests.

Honesty and trust is a must for me as with anyone interested in a serious relationship. I can't appreciate and won't tolerate a guy who has to have several love interests at once or who cheats.

Physically my interests are not too specific however I do not necessarily prefer obese persons. I'm very active and would enjoy someone who can keep up with me.

Lastly being somewhat intellectual is preferred.

A little about me: I suppose something that sets me apart from many women is I'm not high maintenance. I don't want fancy gifts or offerings and I don't spend hours getting dressed and ready everyday. I don't fret over my appearance, yet I try to look nice. I'm not obsessed with shopping or expensive labels like prada or gucci. On the contrary, I enjoy being reasonable with spending and balancing a budget responsibly.

Love to me does not consist of trying to win another over with gifts. Love is the closeness and attachment to someone special which you enjoy being with, sharing thoughts and doing activities together.

I am typically a kind friendly person and outgoing. I have a pleasant quirky sense of humor and personality. I'm not afraid to speak my mind as well when the situation calls for it. I enjoy the outdoors and nature as well as going out on the town now and then to have fun.

I hope to one day make a living with my art or photography.

Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, bowling, pool, painting, reading a nice engaging book, traveling, photography, being with my pets, and nice relaxing afternoons. I'm always up for trying something new as well. :)

Speaking of pets I currently have a few cats and ducks. They enrich my life with their antics and love which I am grateful for.

My interests in music vary widely and are rock, alt, jazz, britpop, industrial, tribal indian music, elevator music, folk, and relaxing nature music. Fav bands and artists are Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Jimi Hendrix, Tool, Radiohead, NIN, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Kiss, Powerman5000, The Eels, The Vines, Mars Volta & Econoline Crush. I dislike any music that consists of talentless screaming.

Currently I live at home with my parents due to the economy being rough, but am by no means a slacker as I help often with tasks and menial labor. I'm looking to get out on my own very soon. I am energetic though at times do enjoy relaxing now and then. My build ranges between slim and average as I work hard to maintain a healthy physique.

Foremost I enjoy getting to know who I'm with and getting a feel of what they're about.

A first date to me doesn't have to be specific, expensive or fancy as a casual meeting is nice enough. Perhaps an evening out stargazing, going to a fast food restaurant or coffee place to chat. I'm fairly easy to please. :)
