just looking for a nice fit. no logical reason it has to be this hard, but i've dated all types of misfits...(lol - aw, poor me)... the Upper East side shallow girl. the hung-up-on-her-previous-boyfriend girl. the i've dated 18 bad boys and you're an amazing guy but i'm not sure if i don't want to give bad boy 19 a try because maybe i can change him type. think i've seen a lot. i deserve a lot better. so if you really want a "nice, intelligent, fun guy," why keep waiting for your idea of perfection when you have as close to a guarantee as there is in life to have that guy a few clicks away.

not bitter about past unfortunate experiences. i am hopeful; i do realize full well that something much much better is out there and i will find it in due time! would prefer its sooner than later. we all have needs that we have to satisfy one way or another. by the way, if you think it's perfectly acceptable to say (and believe) that you want a guy who has muscles, the burden of proof is on you to explain why i can't then say that i would love (as any guy would) a girl who has a healthy chest...(i grasp firmly to equality)

. by the way, i recently received my certification to be an official POF-to-English TRANSLATOR... so i wanted to briefly list out some basic translations. keep in mind this is just the GENERAL usage of the words - if you use them differently (i.e. correctly), then kudos!

Girls, about themselves:
ABOUT AVERAGE = overweight
ATHLETIC = this is a tough one - requires context - sometimes means "athletic," sometimes means "overweight,"
A FEW EXTRA POUNDS = more than a few extra pounds, and
PREFER NOT TO SAY = gi-normous
FRIENDS SAY I AM PICKY = i'm incredibly picky

In the guys they want:
AMBITIOUS = loaded ($$)
TAKES CARE OF HIMSELF = logically should mean will date anyone other than fat tubs but generally means will only date muscular guys
KNOWS WHAT HE WANTS = guy with an "edge," which in turn really actually means they want a guy who is a challenge
LOOKING FOR A NICE GUY = if a guy is really hot, i would prefer that he be nice
TIRED OF GAMES = tired of "edgy" guys turning out to be jerks all the time

a first date is a crapshoot, and the entire spectrum from complete attraction to complete repulsion can be discovered within half an hour, if not much sooner. so dinner is not a good first date!! if you ask my opinion, i believe drinks are b/c it can be as short or long as the attraction level dictates (plus alcohol is a good social lubricant!)
