As you might be able to tell from the pictures, my favorite activities involve the water and especially water skiing, jet skiing and fresh water fishing. I enjoy the hiking and biking when back on dry land.

I live in a community with three water ski lakes within five minutes of my house. Hooking up the jet ski & being to the ramp & on the water in ten minutes is one of my favorite after work activities to end the day. Especially on those warm summer evenings ! ~ !

Shortly after sunrise or right before sunset are my preferred times to be on the water and you’ll get bonus points with me if you are an early riser and a morning person. Double bonus points if you know how to drive a boat &/or drive a truck & back a boat trailer down the launch ramp ! ~ ! If you don’t know how, but are willing to learn, I can teach you how ~ ~ ~ ~

I like to sit on the dock and catch the sunsets to end the days. I enjoy the downtime in the evenings on the sofa watching a good DVD after the sun goes down. I prefer Digiorno's & DVD @ home to dinner & movie out ~ It’s a lot easier to pause & make our own intermissions ~ ~ ~

In case you can't tell so far, I'm pretty much a swim suit & shorts & flip-flops kind of guy. I go for comfort & haven't been in a tight pair of jeans for years. I do the suit & tie thing when needed & required by protocol which isn't too often anymore. I'm comfy in my brushed-cotton Dockers, button-down shirt & Topsiders ! ~ !

I go to church once a week whether I need it or not. If nothing more, it's a guaranteed hour of peace & tranquility each weekend. I enjoy my weekly chat with The Big Guy ! ~ !

I also enjoy the local Bay Area events such as the Gasparilla Parades, State Fair, Strawberry Festival, Clearwater Jazz Fest, boat shows, downtown craft shows, sportsman's show, outdoor concerts & other assorted festivals the Bay Area offers.

I have never been married and do not have any children. I enjoy children and have fun teaching them to swim and ski when they are inclined. I work with the Big Brothers & Foster Children organizations every now & then.

I'm in the minority on this site in that I do not drink coffee or alcohol. I do not smoke or take drugs and my favorite drinks are Gatorade, fruit punch and fat-free milk on the rocks. I'm more fun sober than most others are when they're not. I don't mind you enjoying your favorite beverage of choice and you'll always have a designated driver if needed when I'm around ! ~ !

My idea of Happy Hour is having the first run in the morning on the smooth water & getting the "Glass" & "Butter" as the sun is topping the trees. Or catching six largemouth bass before 8am ~ ! ~ ! Or the hour spent grilling burgers next to the lake while taking a break from all the activities. Or the last hour before sunset as a gentle calm sets in as the sun is setting over the trees.

Now those are some Happy Hours ! ~ ! ~ ! ;~}

The weekends are my time & so I usually roll out around sunrise & get going. I get my domestic chores done & out of the way so I can get my happy self outside to have fun in the sun. Of course, during the peak summer hours, I will do the playing first & catch up on the chores eventually ! ~ !

I have somewhat of an irreverent sense of humor although I make an attempt to ensure I remain respectful.

I am comfortable with PDA’s.

Being that I'm independently poor, I do my own laundry, dishes, vacuuming & mopping floors and I have been known to wash my car in the rain.

I just finished remodeling my bedrooms. This included stripping them to the bare walls & concrete floors. Two coats of paint on the ceilings & walls & laminate flooring to finish them off.

Always lots to do outside after the inside chores & housework are done. Big tree branches to trim, flower beds to maintain, grass to cut, bonfires to enjoy when the burning ban is lifted ! ~ !

I'm seeking one to be a partner with through all the good stuff, the not so good stuff, the fun stuff & the not so fun stuff that Life throws our way. One that will be a team mate as much as the proverbial soul mate. One to complement & one for me to complement.

Depending on your comfort zones & sense of adventure here are some of my ideas regarding first meetings & first dates. I'm pretty trusting & open to any & all of yours as well ! ~ !

Meeting at church, Clearwater Beach, Anclote River park having a picnic & watching the boats, the birds & the sunset, Tarpon Springs sponge docks, a local ice cream parlor for a chocolate/vanilla twist, getting the oil changed in your car, Lowry Park Zoo or Summer Concert Series, Tampa Theater Traveling Movie Series, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Mahaffey Theater, St. Pete Pier, Florida Orchestra Concert Series In The Park, a bike ride at Flatwoods, Suncoast Parkway or Pinellas Trail or, taking a jetski ride on the Hillsborough River, Horse Show @ State Fairgrounds, MacDill Airfest Show, or Microwave Popcorn & a DVD.

Depending on day of week & time of year I'm sure we can find a mutually agreeable place to meet & have fun ~ ~ ~ More fun than sitting doing nothing more than coffee ~

Of course, I will never object if you just want to meet on a warm Saturday morning @ sunrise & go water skiing. If you don't want to ski, that's fine as long as you drive the boat ! ~ ! I haven't figured out how to do both at the same time yet ~ ~ ~ ~ ;~{

Plenty of time to chat in between ski runs &/or while having snacks on the boat or on shore watching the other boats &/or critters ~ ~ ~ Hey, you can drink coffee then ! !

Yes, I have a car & it likes it when I put the rubber to the road ~~ my car is almost 4-years old & will soon show 80,000 miles on the odometer. It didn't get that way by sitting in the garage ! ~ ! Or by sitting in a parking lot while I drank coffee! ~ !

I will not meet you in bars, fancy restaurants(I'm a Taco Bell kind of guy - meet you there anytime ! ~ !), at loud concerts or movies on first meetings. DVD's are the exception since they have that Pause/Rewind button, so when we want to chat during the movie we can.

How is it that Starbucks is going out of business & closing so many locations if so many people are meeting there for first dates ? ? ?

From what I gather by reading profiles, first meetings should be time spent enjoying each other's company & although not designed as an interview, it's time spent deciding if there will be any more meetings or dates going forward ~ > ~~;~}

The way I look at it, if you've got enough interest to email, chat online & off-line, the in-person part should merely be a smooth transition & continuation of the aforementioned ~ ~ ~

I know couples that have been together for 25+ years & still don't know everything about each other ~ ~ What would make me think I can learn enough about someone in 25-minutes to make any kind of intelligent & informed decision....! ~ ? ~ ! ~ ? I'm hoping to meet someone that I want to learn more & more & more about ! ~ ! ~ !

I'd much rather stroll, walk, saunter along the beach than just sit still. Don't drink coffee ~ ~ ~ ~
