I'm very happy with my life. I have friends, family, and a job I love. I've got a great sense of humor, a few graduate degrees, a dog, and my feet firmly planted in the ground. I say what's on my mind, think kindness is far too underrated, and love learning about and trying new things.

I can't say that there's just one important quality that I'm looking for. It's more like I'll know it when I see it. At a bare minimum he should be honest and kind. He should know how to listen, laugh, and love. Humor is a must - all types appreciated - ranging from dry wit to low brow. Family should be important to him. He should like kids and pets (really just my dog). I'm going to be shallow & say it... physical attraction is important (you don't need to be the next Calvin Klein underwear model but, don't be Booger from Revenge of the Nerds either).

All in all I just want someone who will be my partner in life to share and enjoy all of the good simple pleasures that come from sharing your life with someone else.

Ok, I Know the above description is on the generic side so here are a few random facts about me:

1) I don’t have a favorite color – I like them all.

2) I’m terrified of heights but I love flying (the smaller the plane the better).

3) I really don’t like talking on the phone. If I can’t talk in person I prefer e-mail, IM, or text.

4) I choose wine by the cute-ness level of the label on the bottle.

5) I’m not a fan of the gym I'd much rather be doing something outside!

6) I think roller coasters are so fun!

7) Pizza is my favorite food.

8) I will someday be able to say I’ve been on all the continents

9) I’ve broken both feet and fractured my skull (not all at the same time).

10) Coke – NEVER Pepsi

11) At some point in my life I wanted to be a: dolphin trainer, prima ballerina, veterinarian, president of the United States, a pastry chef, or a spy for the CIA.

12) I am truly horrible at math, spelling, and have no sense of direction. Thank-you calculators, spell check, & GPS!

13) I aspire to one day write a best selling children’s picture book.

14) I like it really cold in my room when I sleep.

15) I love it when people tell me I look like my mother.

16) Breakfast for dinner is awesome (I make great banana pancakes).

17) The last 5 songs played on my itunes are: I’m in Heaven When You Smile by Van Morrison, Fine by Mary J Blige, Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer, Funny Face by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Hey Girl by OAR.

18) I think clowns are creepy.

I don't think the 1st date needs to be fancy. What's important is that it is somewhere we can carry on a conversation.
