I think it's important to keep things simple in life (not boring, no way). By simple I mean spending time with friends talking over coffee or stuff like that.
I like to read but I like collecting books more than actually reading them. My book shelf is really crowded.
I love to volunteer. I've been volunteering in the city the past couple of years. I even spent a week in New Orleans with Habitat for Humanity rebuilding homes after Katrina. Volunteering is something different to do and I'm always looking for entertainment or ways to expand my horizons. I enjoy life and I like setting goals. I also realize that it's important to have fun while trying to attain those goals. Whether I even reach a goal isn't as important as it used to be to me. I also love to see other people do well and I love the story of the underdog.
The person I'm looking for would have to be smart but doesn't have to be the class valedictorian. He'd have to be curious about things and other cultures too. I love to talk and learn about other cultures. I lived in Japan for a year so the guy I'm interested in would have to love travel.
Honesty is also really important. If you can't be honest with yourself then you're not willing to grow. One of the reasons I love yoga so much is because it teaches you to live in the moment and be mindful. It also talks about change and how important it is to embrace change because that is the only thing in life that is constant.
