Though I start off a bit on the shy side, once I feel comfortable around someone, I possess a very outgoing personality.

I love being a redhead. Though it has its downsides (fair skin that burns easily in the sun and unable to sneak into a room unnoticed), the upsides outweigh the down a great deal. Many have told me I have a great sense of humor and I tend to possess a mischievous sense of adventure. I am prone to do funny things when the right mood meets with a good opportunity; however, my style of humor and pranks are always in good taste - never vulgar or obnoxious. Chalk it up to all the I Love Lucy episodes I've watched throughout my life. (And they say blondes have more fun. Baloney!!!) Normally my glass is 2/3's full & I want to live life to the fullest.

When it comes to music, I will probably be an eternal teenager like Mr. Clark from American Bandstand. The music of the 60s is still a big favorite of mine. Such groups as the Beach Boys and numerous British groups, in addition to such favorites as Neil Diamond, Tom Jones and Johnny Mathis, rank high on my list. I also enjoy easy listening and numerous Christian artists. A bit of country here and there is okay, along with soft jazz. I do not care for punk, heavy metal, rap and such as that.

I love holidays - Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all the others - and enjoy expressing my "inner child" (especially at Christmas).

I suppose you could say my personality has two sides to it. I am not what would be referred to as a 'party animal', but I do enjoy socializing with friends at different times. Getting together to watch a good football game (the Boise State University Broncos are my favorite), 4th of July picnic, holiday party, etc., is a lot of fun. At other times, I enjoy time with that special someone. Time spent in front of a fire with a glass of wine and soft music is awesome, but I also enjoy sitting back to back with him as we each get lost in our different books. At times like that, just knowing he's there is enough.

The other side of my personality needs time to myself. Being a writer, I need some uninterrupted quiet time to collect my thoughts and work on my various projects.

What I seek in a partner:

- a positive attitude towards life and an outgoing personality. He doesn't need to be the life of the party, but I don't want him to be a hermit either. Someone who is friendly and enjoys being around others periodically.

- enjoys the out-of-doors/mountains and camping.

- an animal lover who is at least tolerant of a cat in the house and on the furniture. I am owned by a very opinionated Siamese who has been given free rein in the house, with the exception of the kitchen counter tops and table.

- a hopeless romantic would be absolutely awesome.

It does not matter if he has a six-pack or a beer-belly. I'm more interested in his personality and the standards by which he lives. I measure a man by the size of his heart, not the size of his waist or bank account.

I do avoid dating smokers due to allergies.

If you're looking for a down-home-type gal who can hold her own in most any conversation, and cook well on a shoestring or lavish budget, you might find me interesting.

Casual and relaxed - give the couple a chance to get acquainted. A trip to the zoo, picnic, maybe a movie or dinner.
