About Me
I am the kind of person to ask myself the following question:
"If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?"
Also once in a while, if I need to decide on things, I flip a coin. That way I will increase the chance of experiencing things I would never do otherwise.
My background may be worth mentioning. I came from Tokyo by myself when I was 16 and lived with a host-family in Victoria, B.C. for three years during high school. This experience not only made me experience two different culture but also two different family values. The family I lived with in Victoria is non-Japanese and currently 90% of my friends are non-Japanese and probably over 60% is Canadian. Although I still have an accent, and as you may notice my writing is not of the native English writer, as a result of being in Canada for almost half of my life. I am sort of a complex mixture of Japanese and Canadian culture. So I really enjoy friendships with people who can appreciate me more than just a Japanese guy.
A bit about my career, I am a PhD student in Mathematics, so being rich is not the main focus of my life. I have wanted to be an academic all my life and I am very excited to be at the battle front of the current development of mathematics.
Who I am looking for:
My good friends have helped me identify what kind of things I should look for in girls. We all believe to know ourselves the best, but often get surprised by a insightful input from close friends. While thanking my friends here are the quality of the person I look for:
- Open-minded - Someone with a sense of professionalism
