O.K. This profile is a bit long, but if you actually get through the whole thing and think that we may have something in common then by all means shoot me an email.....

.....I tend to be a romantic kind of guy. I love a special dinner either at a nice restaurant, a favorite "hole in the wall", or a homemade meal prepared for my special one (or maybe with her). Snuggling on the couch, walking on the beach, listening to crickets at night. Paying attention to the little things that happen all around us every day that are so much more amazing and wonderful when there is someone else there to pay attention to it with...Sights, sounds, smells, touches, happenings.

Most Sunday's I go to church. I sing in the choir and a quartet there. I am christian and spiritual but Not religious. I believe there are many paths to take that will lead to God. Christianity is just one of those paths. In my opinion some of the most spiritual people never go to a church of any kind.

I love the outdoors. I try to respect all things in nature and appreciate the beauty that is there. Camping is one of my favorite things to do (I just don't get to do it often enough.)

I enjoy almost all types of music (not so much into rap and heavy metal) and I have been singing since I was about 10. (I'm ok but you won't find me auditioning for American Idol)

I have a pretty good sense of humor and have been known to throw out some funny comments here and there but I think humor depends on your audience....maybe I think I'm funny just because my Mom used to always laugh....come to think of it no one else did....now I'm not so sure any more.

I love dogs...not so crazy about cats. Ironically 2 stray cats seem to have adopted me and I have taken to feeding them so I guess they are mine now.

I enjoy Watching a good movie with a nice glass of wine, Watching a great sunset is even better. A sunset with a glass of wine is mighty good too!

I really seem to be about enjoying and appreciating the simpler things in life. I find that I don't care much at all for the materialism and commercialism that seems to be so pervasive in our society.

I enjoy growing things (tomatoes, basil etc.)And I get a great deal of satisfaction out of creating things on my wood lathe.

Back in May, after not riding one for over 20 years, I bought a motorcycle! I am enjoying it thoroughly. I hope to do some touring around on it during my vacation time but for now I'm just gettting used to it. Fun Fun FUN!!! ....and there's room for a passenger too!

Also this year after not having been on stage for about 20 years (theatre was my major in college)I auditioned for a show at Cabrillo College...believe it or not I got cast! It was The Wizard of Oz....I had a blast. It was a great production.
I try to take care of my body by eating healthy food and staying fairly active. I'm certainly not a militant health nut though. I have my moments of "weakness" with a dark chocolate bar or some jelly bellies, and of course an occasional amber beer, glass of wine or a good margarita (unsalted)

The woman that I am looking for has a healthy mind and body, she likes the outdoors too; isn't afraid to go camping, and loves sitting by a campfire at night. She is kind and has a good sense of humor... doesn't take herself (or me) too seriously. She has a GREAT smile :) . She understands and knows that life's simple pleasures are the best. She is capable of giving and recieving love and support to and from her loved ones. She knows that she's not perfect... only perfect for me. And she accepts that I'm not perfect either...but hopefully I am perfect for her. She will enjoy exploring new places, new foods, new books, meeting new people, trying new experiences. She values togetherness but also understands the need for solitude.

To sum it all up in one sentence; I'm looking for a good match. Someone that will share with me the great things that life has to offer!!!(OK...So that was two sentences...forgive me...again.) It might sound like I am asking for alot in a woman but I don't think I am. Like I said I'm not perfect and I don't expect you to be either. I can't be all of the things that I mentioned above all of the time and I don't expect anyone else to be those things constantly either. We all have bad days, or even bad weeks. But if some of what I've written strikes a chord within you then write to me and lets begin a conversation!!:

Conversation over tea, coffee, a beer. Just talking and learning about each other. Would be nice, if it was going well, to take a walk on the beach; maybe to a restaurant in Capitola and grab lunch or dinner. Just an unhurried afternoon or evening of relaxed conversation and exchanging thoughts about our lives and what is important to us in life.
