About me huh... Well first of all my name is Jesse I was born in Corpus Christi, TX. I have been in the Army for 10 great years as a Infantryman, and I love every moment of it. I just cant see myself behind a desk all the time that would drive me crazy. At this time I am stationed in Camp Q-West, Iraq however I'll returning back to Fort Hood, Texas at the end of November so dont let my current location scare you away lol.

But when Im not deployed I like shot a little eight ball and drink a beer with my friends after a long day at work. Since I am from a small country town I dont see anything wrong with the big city lights but. I prefer a slow country nights where I can see the darkness come in and go. I like to fish and hunt and I love the Good Lord I was raised in doing right. I like to wear my Giants cap (Yes I am from Texas and I am a Giants fan funny huh).

But take a good look laides..... take a long hard look. What you see standing in front of you is a representative of the noblest strata of our society. For my money there are two kinds of men that walk this earth..... Men of ACTION and ALL others. What stands before you is a man of action, I'm not talking about a random half hazard sort of action. I'm talking about a deliberate measured and when required intensely focused action. To be sitting in the safety of our home several years into a war. Subjected to the 24/7 media coverage of the war and it's brutality and then decide to go and re-enlist in the U.S. Army Infantry for 6 more years says an awful lot about a man's character to stick it out. Says a great deal about my heart and my ability to see a larger picture.

Anyone can start, but not everyone has the heart to finish. This Infantryman standing before you really does not want to go into harms way and risk it all, but my moral clarity won't allow me to sit back and let someone else provide the blanket of freedom that you can cherish today, and so many others take for granted.

My reasons for enlisting in the Army are deeply personal, but its what makes me truly the best and brightest that this country has to offer. I dont say that because I'm snide or arrogant I say it because I fervently believe it.

I have and will again Hump the steep mountians of Afghanistan with a 120 pound ruck sack on my back, gasping for breath in the moutain air in pursuit of the enemy. With my muscles screaming, back aching, sleep and rest not forthcoming. I have fought in Iraq and walked the mean streets of places like Fallujah, Baghdad, or Ramadi conducting raids or the physically demanding and mentally draining house to house searchs.

This is who I really am and will always be................
