Describing myself is like peeling an onion, each layer yields another. I know this is supposed to be easy but for me I struggle. I guess to me I am just simple. I like the simple things in life but am intriqued by personalities that are more complex. Kind of contradictory I know but isn't that how life really is. I am attracted to women simple like myself but with a bit of mystery and challenge. The gal that can wear jeans and a tank top ( ball cap can't hurt either), and still get all dolled up and take my breath away when we go to the company christmas party. Thats my kind of girl. Do you like to watch your man mow the lawn with his shirt off? Maybe knock out some drywall and install that picture window you always wanted? I guess that's me. Your basic John Mellancamp song, kind of your mister Americana. I'm patriotic almost to a fault. I still well up when they sing the Star Spangled Banner at the ball game but I am not so soft that you can't count on me to be strong when you need your man. So, now I am rambling...how do you put 41 years of life experience into a few short lines?

The cliff notes to me are....If you like beer over champange...small pubs over big clubs...cutting loose with close friends rather than putting on the ritz to impress other people, than we probably have something in common.

I believe I have lived enough life to know who I am and will know what I am looking for when it finds me. I am not your lost little boy in need of rescue but a secure and independent man that is looking for his partner. I believe that in life we figure out what road we are going down and then look around to see who is going the same direction. What road are you on? Are you going my way?

As far as a first date.....Something safe for both of us. Maybe a pub with some entertainment to keep the new energy flowing but not so loud that we can't talk and find out what the other is all about. I will dazzle you with my wit and charming intellect and you will bewilder me with your beauty and nonchallant manner. We will laugh at each others awkwardness and giggle about what we will tell our friends how we met, if this works out beyond our expectations. You will learn that I have great relationship with my son and a perfectly wonderful dysfunctional relationship with my other son's whom happen to be boxer's (Bo and Luke). You will tell me what makes you tick and I will be thinking I can't wait for our next date.

In the end we will share that cute awkwardness that comes when I wonder if I shake your hand, give you a hug or lean in for the kiss. It will be a sappy country song that we tell our friends about while we are waiting for the phone to ring.
