I'm a 50 year-old male who considers himself to be pretty average, although I've been told I'm handsome (I'll leave that to your opinion!) and that I'm a lot of fun to spend time with. I have two daughters who are front and center in my life, and I'm very proud of the wonderful young women they are...I'm truly blessed!

I work in the accounting field for a local University, so I'm a professional, white collar guy when it comes to my job. I enjoy a wide variety of activities, especially cooking, motorcycling, and being a soccer dad! I began to take cooking more seriously about five years ago when my ex-wife and I first separated...I wanted to ensure that I made decent meals for my daughters, and low and behold, I found that I really enjoyed being in the kitchen, and have now become fairly adept...I receive a great deal of pleasure for cooking for others, and experiencing their enjoyment (I haven't had any complaints yet!). I also took up motorcycling again several years ago, only street bikes this time as opposed to the dirt bikes of my youth. I have several now, including a couple of Harleys within the last two years (although I have a Honda CBR1000 sport bike as well!)...I think that one of the Harleys would be great to travel and take some trips on one of these days, and I would love to have a partner to explore the highways and byways with me! I enjoy snow skiing in the winter, and boating in the summer, and I've enjoyed woodworking to some degree in the past, as well as very occassional fishing and bird hunting trips, although those are more for the camaraderie thank actually catching or shooting anything! I also enjoy photography, most of it focused on my daughters' soccer careers and other outings with them!

I'm ultimately looking for that special woman to spend the rest of my days with...someone who is my best friend, lover and confidante, who is willing to experience all of life's inevitable ups and downs with me, although I look forward to more ups than downs! I would love to meet a woman who is well-grounded in her life, has a good sense of confidence in herself, and who appreciates both romance and sensuality, and looks to sharing a passionate and intimate (in all ways, not just phycical!) relationship with her partner! I want to find that person who truly makes me a better person just by virtue of who she is and how she views and responds to the world around her, and hopefully finds that I do the same for her! I feel that although I certainly have my faults, I'm a very caring and compassionate person at the end of the day, and I would like my partner to be so as well! My faith is very important to me, and I would certainly want to be able to share that with my partner...not that she has to see things exactly the way that I do, but who values having faith and wants to share that aspect of her life with her partner!

For a first date, I could see doing any one of a number of things! I think in part it would depend on how my previous emails or communications with the other person had been...I'd be up for just about anything with the right person, whether that would be simply meeting up for coffee or drinks (even though I don't drink), or going out for a nice dinner and maybe a movie or some other activity! I would like to spend the first date in an environment where we could have the opportunity to spend some quality time just getting to know each other, so I'd rather do something more intimate like a dinner or coffee/drinks as opposed to going out to a club or a social gathering...not that I don't enjoy those things, but I would just like to spend time in more of a one-on-one meeting than a large group!
