I am fairly new to Tampa area and FL in general. Originally from Chicago.
I still miss Chicago but Tampa isn't too bad for a second tier city.. Although it does seem to be almost a law down here that women have to be moms by a certain age (like 21). Nothing against kids but it is a little surprising to me.
I am an economist by education and love food..hence Foodist (in case you were curious!)
I'm all about the midwest but maybe FL will grow on me..although I doubt I'll ever get used to this ungodly, insane heat.


What I like:
Food (eat, cook, watch, dream)
Beer (European and a few American)
Travel (Haven't been out of the US in over a year..which sucks)
Politics (I blog about it now and then)
Movies (All kinds, especially Foreign - British, German and French. No musicals!)
Read (Michael Connelly, Michael Crichton, Michael Lewis, Ken Follett...)
Music (Metallica-esque - but I will listen to other stuff..)


Education, a developed vocabulary and a sense of humor in people is appreciated.

Future plans include more traveling, getting an MBA and catching up on my reading!

Something that involves eating at a nice place that both of us like, with lots of engaging conversation..
