I am 29 years old and a transplant to Ohio from Michigan. I've been in this area for over two years now, and I would like to start making some friends other than my co-workers
Here's the lowdown:
I am a pretty eccentric girl...I don't fit the pre-conceived stereotypes some have of black women. I enjoy laughter, I listen to all types of music, I love to write and draw. My friends say that I smile with my eyes, so I'm going to assume that's a good thing(lol).
As for my interests and some things that I enjoy, here are a few (not all though...I like leaving something for the imagination):
-blogging (online journaling)
-having fun with my family and friends
-feeling the sun on my face
-staring at the stars
-listening to the rain
-feeling the wind against my skin
-board games and video games
-trivia
-Michigan State
-curling up with a blanket and a good book or just curling up with that special someone
-a nice bowl of Count Chocula every now and then
-a quiet evening at home as well as a night out
-music (I enjoy a little of everything and enjoy suggestions/recommendations)
-writing (I've done short stories and poetry. Had a few published before)
-sports (I love football mainly. Favorite pro teams are the Dolphins and the Steelers)
-learning from others (it is amazing the things we can teach each other)
-traveling (random road trips are a major plus)
-and the rest you will have to get from me once you get to know me!

I'm emotionally strong, yet cry over movies like "Old Yeller" (this is a hardcore fact.) I love to be a listening ear if someone needs to talk. I'm so shy and bashful...until I get to know you (hee hee). I try to live as drama free as possible. I work full time, sometimes I fall into the workaholic category, but I'm trying to ease up some. I have completed some college, where my major is psychology and social services. I'm independent, but I love teamwork.
I am looking to make friends out here, but if more develops, I will not stand in its way. I am
not looking for sex partners or one night stands. I believe that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover because you may be missing out on an awesome novel!
I'm human. I have faults and imperfections, but it makes me who I am. But if you are looking to laugh, have your mind blown, and to enjoy life, you've stopped by the right place.
