I take pleasure in life. Beneath it all is a boyishness that likes to crayon outside the lines (with all due respect to Mr. Big). In my work I see lots of different situations and my work is competitive, but I do not take it home with me. Instead, it gives me a wonderful perspective of what is important in life. I love to laugh. I can enjoy watching Animal House or Superbad. I like to take a walk in jeans around the lake, and later would get dressed up for an evening out. Or I can just chill on the back porch with a drink. I like being spontaneous. I have and will try most anything new as long as it does not involve the risk of imminent death or arrest. But there is no compulsion to be doing things all the time. I can appreciate art, even if its meaning is not clear. I like a wide variety of music, from Metallica to Mozart; but for some reason I have recently been into Etta James and Buddy Guy. I am a reader, mostly of novels. I am interested in so many things and like to discuss things, forever curious but understanding that I am not always right or that there is always a right or a wrong. And when in need, I can cook up more than a burger (ratatouille is a seasonable favorite). I am the father of two wonderful and challenging teenage daughters. One is in college and the younger one lives with me half the time and doesn't need much parent time.

A first date could be as simple as a cup of coffee, a walk along Greenlake, or going out somewhere, whatever comes naturally.
