I am pretty fit and active. I either run, bike ride or hike almost every day. But I also know how to relax. I can easily lie on the sand of a tropical paradise with a good book and be very happy. Although the truth is that if I did that one day, I would probably want to go on a long hike, or something similar, the next.
I like most of the arts,including theater, opera, movies, music, museums and literature, and try to go to a live event whenever I have the time, which usually isn't often enough.
Since I'm physically active, I would like to meet someone who also is. Someone who is full of life and energy, love and humor, as well as intelligence and playfulness. Someone who is not afraid of intimacy. Good looks always helps, as does being fit.
Both my kids now live away from home - one is living in San Francisco, the other in Paris. It's always a pleasure to visit either[or have them visit me], but, I'm in SF much more frequently than Paris.
I am at that nice time in my life where I either have or can make a fair amount of time to travel, read, relax, or keep busy in a variety of interesting ways. I am lucky enough to work for myself [I am a periodontist, which at least tells you that I floss on a regular basis] and have I always liked what I do. So I will probably continue to do that for many more years, keeping a flexible schedule.

For me a first date is simply getting to know someone, with conversation and a glass of wine or cup of coffee. If that works, and there is the elusive chemistry, then it's on to whatever we decide is next.
