Greetings! I am 42 yrs old....ex Army officer...went to college in SC at The Citadel. If you notice the pictures...will go ahead and show my honesty.I was injuried in a car wreck back in 97. Snow and black ice....ended with a spinal cord injry..which caused paralysis...can not move lower legs...so Yes I do use a wheelchair.
I was married for 5 yrs....got a divorce in 94. I have a wonderful son whom I dont get to see as much as I would like...he is 16 .
things i like to do.....I love singing Karaoke...have done it for years...won a few contests..but just dont get to do it as often. I love concerts..and esp outdoor ones.
I am a big people watcher...makes one remember that our lives are not as bad as we think. ((Grounded -huh!) I am back in college...so most of my reading is involved in college courses. I am a graduate of ETSU---Sport Management degree. Currently getting graduate degree----now.! late in life...but ohhh well.
So yes I love sports...but i am not a NUT about it. I dont have to watch every one.!!
I loved running before my accident...so my adaption to this is ...wheelchair racing. Started in 04---Won 3 Gold and 1 Silver at National Veterans Wheelchair Games....have raced in several marathons and half marathons since then. Keeps me in excellent shape...and plus I just enjoy it...plus it puts me out front and very visible to the public. I love being a role model for young kids...whether disabled or not....helps develop them with character, and respect for all. PLus shows them that --ALL things are possible.! Determination...Desire...and consistent work...helps us make our goals!
what am I looking for in a partner.???? Just that...an equal partner whom is my best friend....when it comes down to it all....your buddies and girlfriends will only be around for a period of time. Its that partner for life...that you need to love ...and love to be around them. Shared interests! Plus the availability to learn new things..and enjoy them with the other.!
some place quiet..to talk...and get to know each other....go for a walk....and see how things feel.
