Hello there! I am a self employed freelance artist in Sacramento. I draw, paint, sculpt and do voice work. I am looking for new friends as well as a LTR and would like to network with other artists as well. I am adventurous and love to try new things, but limit it to things that don't involve pain, bondage, or hurting others.
I'm also not into playing stupid high school games, like making a date after you've been seeing someone a while and then HIDING in your apartment until the other party leaves then never calling them again - LAME. You know who you are.

I am always laughing and am my own party, pretty much. I love life, people, and helping others. I am compassionate and kind, gentle and sweet, and very thoughtful.

I giggle a lot...and by that I mean A LOT. I find a lot of things funny, even things that are supposed to be taboo are hilarious to me.
I am goofy, geeky, nerdy and really into computers, gadgets, science and technology - and how things are made and how they came to be.

What I'm doing with my life------------------------------
Right now I am working on my Masters in Graphic Design at Sacramento State University. I am taking this semester off, however, to get some projects lined up.
I am enjoying continuing my artwork and am working on getting my own show (who isn't? - haha!)
I am a student of life, however goofy that sounds, and am always learning and keeping my eyes open, observing, and analyzing, and throwing out the bad and keeping the good I observe.
I will also take this opportunity to say that I am getting pretty good at spotting BS artists, which I am finding out is a good thing on dating sites :)
And another thing, polyamorists, playboys, marrieds or people looking for threesomes need not apply. I am a one man woman and don't intend to change. Boring? Maybe. Honest?

Lots of things! I am good at drawing, sculpting, photography, talking, I am told I am a very good cook, talking, decorating, design, talking, telling jokes, cheering people up, talking. And did I mention talking?
I've done commercials and whatnot, so I am guessing other people thing I am good at talking too, although when I am meeting people I am rather soft spoken and casual, laid back. I have a very slight drawl after living almost 12 years in the Deep South. But I'm always quick with a joke.
I am a self professed geek/nerd and I love anything science or -ology attached to it. Give me a telescope and and old fashioned cardboard starfinder with a flashlight and I am a happy camper.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me----------------------------------------------------
Is my hair and green eyes. I have very red hair (and yes, it came out of a bottle, thankyouverymuch) and its a good contrast to my green eyes.
I am also rather tall at 5' 9" and that makes me stand out a bit.
I also laugh and giggle a lot, and say things that I had been thinking about earlier and tried to remember a name or something and it just pops out. Its a quirk, I know, but it makes life interesting.
I am also terribly polite. To a fault. I say *gasp* please and thank you, and I am particularly polite to anyone working in service industry. Goodness knows, we've all been there, working our butts off for next to nothing, so a kind word and a sweet smile (genuine!) can turn a grumpy cashier or waitperson's day around sometimes. It makes everyone feel good, so why not?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food---------------------------------------------
I have to admit here, that I don't watch TV and I am just horrible with sports. I don't know who is in competition with whom at all. But I am fascinated with their costumes. Nice color combinations and great graphics on most of them! I will, however, watch the Big Game and eat wings and drink beer and root for whoever wins - and count the minutes down until the commercials. I love the commercials, since I have an advertising background.
However, I love movies, and I really love old B movies, old Hammer films, and of course, Mystery Science Theater 3000. I have almost all the episodes. If I were to go to a new movie, I would probably pick a comedy.
Music, well, I love all sorts of music and my taste is super eclectic. There are jut a few things that really don't jive with me, and that's jazz, jazz fusion, hardcore rap, death metal, and whatever passes for talent on those reality shows like American Idol and what passes for country these days. I like old style country and alternative country if that's the flavor I want, not Badonkadonk or whatever that is.
Food: Darn near anything. I have one caveat, and that is seafood. Bleh. I don't like it in any form. But everything else is fair game! My favorites that stand out are Indian, Thai, Greek, Japanese and Korean.

First Date
For a first date, I would have talked to my potential date long enough to know what he doesn't want, so that it would be as nice and pleasant as possible. I am not into the bar scene, and I hate yelling over the sound of the DJ, so that's not really an option for a very good first date.
I think an ideal first date would be something simple and fun, like meeting at a local cafe for a beverage and chit chatting to see if the chemistry is there. After that, a walk around town, or sitting in the park and people watching would be fine, as long as we were both enjoying it and communicating.
I am not one of those girls who just sit there, batting her eyelashes, saying, "I don't know, you decide - hee hee!" BORING. No, It should be an exciting adventure with lots of give and take. We only go around what? 6 or 700 times? May as well make it interesting and have fun.
