So a little about me and what I am looking for…I am the hopeless romantic who will plan a special candlelit dinner to surprise you when you walk in the door after a long day… I am the guy that will take your kids to the zoo on Saturday so you can curl up with a good book and some quiet time… I am the guy who will appreciate you more the longer we are together… I am the guy that will sneak a note into your pocket that says “I miss you” so that you find it randomly at some future time when you least expect it… I am the guy who will send flowers or make you a mix CD just because I am thinking about you and want you to know it…I am the guy who, after you wake up from a scary dream in the middle of the night, will hold you until you feel safe again… I am the guy who will unclog your sink or change a light fixture for you...I am the guy who can make you laugh when the rest of the world wants to make you cry…I am the guy who will run to the store in the middle of the night when the kids are sick and we are out of cold medicine…I am the guy who will rub your tired feet…I am the guy who will kiss you in front of the fire all night as a thunderstorm rumbles outside…and there are a million more things I want to do for you.

I love to try new things and expose myself to different experiences. I am always looking for ways to grow as a person (physically, emotionally and intellectually). I am in pretty good shape (6'0" 165 lbs) and I work out almost daily. I like to get out and do things like run, play tennis, rock climb, play disc golf, etc. I also love to do home improvement projects. People usually guess I am a lot younger than I am. I can be impulsive. I always love new challenges and getting out of my comfort zone to try new things. I am not a big spectator sports fan. I do love to read and am very into music. I am a song writer and play several musical instruments. I love to watch movies (just no horror movies!) People who know me well say I am fun and smart. I love to laugh and have fun. Since when did people stop laughing and having fun?

I am looking for a woman who is self assured, confidant and independent. Hopefully, she will also be educated, professional, thin, attractive, smart and reasonably active. Does that sound too picky? I like a woman who will occasionally take charge and not always say, "Well, what ever you want to do is fine with me..." I would like to find someone who is open to trying new things and who is worldly enough to introduce me to new things as well. Also, I would like to meet someone who likes to travel. Lastly, I really enjoy long talks. I have been surprised by a lot of the women I have met who monologue…it would be great to be able to totally connect with someone by talking about ideas, places, people, experiences, dreams, etc. instead of just listening to someone talk about themselves.

So, the hard part. I know this might sound mean but I have two deal breakers: I am definitely looking for a woman who is 1) intelligent and 2) thin. I have dated women in the past who weren’t and, unfortunately, it just does not work for me. Better to be honest upfront though, right? The good news is geeks and small boobs are OK!

I am at a stage in my life where I have been around the block and had a lot of fun. At this point I feel like I am ready to settle down for a serious relationship. I have had a lot of relationships in the past, and have learned and grown from them all. I really want to have kids and a family. Like everyone, I have been hurt but I am still really positive and anxious to meet the one who I know is out there just waiting to cross paths with me. I know I am on the verge of falling deeply and truly in love...I am not necessarily looking for my exact double, but someone who is my best friend, and with whom I enjoy doing things and with whom I can grow as a person, snuggle in front of a fire or at the beach, laugh and share our lives together.

hmmm...depends on the woman I guess. Different strokes for different folks. Whatever it is it would have to be fun and allow us to talk so we could figure out if we like each other!
