I decided to write a new profile. Originally I joined this place as an excuse to creep on a friend who was being all secretive about a girl he met on here. I also had the idea that I could find someone to go see all the weird bands I like since my friends rarely wanted to go to the same shows as me. I suppose I should start with that. My music tastes tend to be obscure and weird. I enjoy music for hearing new sounds and unique styles. With clever lyrics and strange literary references. Epic songs and concept albums have always appealed to me.

I'm not saying I'm looking for someone who shares my tastes. But it's nice to meet someone who is excited about music and who can talk about it with some knowledge. And I'm always impressed with someone who turns me on to a new band. My tastes in other things tend to be a little weird too. I watch a lot of indie films and foreign cinema (especially Asian cinema). I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on (mostly fiction) and love meeting someone whom I can give and receive books.

I still enjoy making mix CDS for people even though the MP3 and iPod age has kind of killed the CD or playlist. Basically I enjoy doing nice things for my friends and those I care about. It's one of the main things that makes me happy. I've always had a really weird, near photographic memory which makes me remember little things my friends say and allows me to buy them fantastic gifts. I like giving little personal gifts.

Also, I like to cook and consider myself pretty good at it. I make a mean lasagna (vegetarian or meat-filled) which has been used for everything from paying for cabs to wooing many women (really one or two maybe). But it's nice to cook a nice meal for someone you care about and have a quiet night in with good music, good conversation and good food.

I love mock arrogance, awkwardness and hyperbole. I can probably be described as pretty sarcastic. I enjoy weird facts and strange anecdotes. I probably spend too much time amusing myself.
