I had to update a couple of things on here - my postal code for one thing. I just moved - bought a house all by myself! It's a bit scary, but I am very happy.

I've been on here awhile, but haven't had time to devote to developing any relationships. Now it's time for me! I finally decided that life is way too short to be as unhappy as I was when I was married. I am 48, devoted mother of two teenage boys and am securely employed at a career I love. I am looking for someone I can respect, who is intelligent and who has a sense of humour (very important!), and a job! I have lost and gained the same 20 pounds for years, so don't expect a "waif" - I am healthy and take care of myself, but I do struggle with dieting! I love watching my son play hockey, cottage in the summer, and going to new places. I believe in life-long learning, and have continued to educate myself through college courses and professional associations. Most of all I love being around people, talking, laughing, having a drink or two...

I am a very positive person, and I am looking for the same in a man. I always look for the "best" in people, and the glass is always half-full for me, not half-empty. I enjoy most music, except I don't like twangy country!!!! I love to watch hockey - I had great time at the TML/Flyers game at the JLC Sept 17th. I've never been to an NHL game, although my kids have!

So after looking around on this site for awhile, I have come to some conclusions:
1. A lot of people are poor spellers, but who am I to judge??
2. I think I am looking for a "teddy bear" type - a few extra pounds are OK. I think "average" to some folks is really "a few extra pounds"!
3.I have enjoyed the emails I have so far, and look forward to chatting with you again, and any others who send me messages!

I would love to meet for coffee or a drink - to have a good chat and see where it goes. We can choose from there if we want to meet again ..no strings. If there is no chemistry, at least we have made a new friend!
