Chemisty, some similar interests, an ability to communicate and connect, kindness, sincerity and mutual respect, a sense of humor and a desire to work towards a committed relationship are the things I am looking for in a partner. I realize it takes time to get to know someone so I'm not looking for 'instant gratification'.
I strive to be flexible, live a healthy lifestyle and take care of my body, mind and spirit. I am easy to be with, love to laugh and can be deep as well, not religious and have been on a 'spiritual' path for years. I like what Socrates said about 'an unexamined life is not worth living' but I don't want to stare!
I really enjoy movies, theatre, museums, new adventures, finding a great little restaurant in the East Village, as much as staying home and reading, knitting , cooking or watching movies. Going upstate is a balance for me between the noise and pace of the city and the quiet, simplicity of nature.

We would meet at a neighborhood coffee bar (ie.Le Pain Quotidien) and see if we have a mutual attraction. If we do, we'd have lattes or tea, talk and then take a walk. We'd say goodbye, both pleased to have met someone we were interested in getting to know more, and plan another date.
