I am a Clemson student seeking a long term relationship. I am looking for one good woman who wants the same, who is of marriageable age, but isn't ready to marry and settle down just yet. (I have another five or ten years before I will be ready.) I'm looking for someone who readily admits she is turned on not by looks as much as brains, who likes a good discussion about subjects that are normally considered dating taboos, up to and including politics and religion. She should like to travel occasionally on the weekends, and be as comfortable outdoors as she is indoors. I like a woman who does not orient her life around vanities like makeup, designer fashion, celebrity gossip and reality shows, who either does not drink, or is careful enough with alcohol so that she does not cause herself personal or legal problems. A good woman, in my opinion, knows she has more to entice a man with than the obvious, and does not fall for beginning players' tricks. I want someone who is good enough to string along for months, years, and perhaps even a lifetime.

I am at the age where mature people start to realize that looks are not the most important thing in long term relationships. They may help some initially, but the strongest attractions build over time. Normally I avoid kissing someone on the first date because of this.

I think overall, you will find me to be a very smart, talented young man. I can hold your interest for as long as need be. I am putting my mind to work in college right now, by studying to be an engineer. When I graduate in 2013, I hope to go to work for a German firm that makes deals on both sides of the Atlantic. While I am still free, I like to engage in some of my favorite pasttimes. One of them is hiking. Seeing a beautiful, refreshing waterfall makes an hour of good exercise all the more rewarding. Sometimes I'll then unpack my guitar and add my own notes to the sounds of nature. I also like playing tennis, board games, car rides, theme parks, and movies with good endings.
