About me: I have been told that I possess a clever and witty sense of humor. I can be a bit shy at first in meeting someone, but if you asked my friends if I'm the least bit shy, they'd laugh out loud. I tend to get asked incessantly, "Why are you still single?". I guess I should worry once they STOP asking. People I meet often try to "fix me up". Ultimately I think this is a compliment, but I'd rather have more input in my romantic life. I am much happier and life is more full when I am in a relationship, but want to wait for the right one. I've lived in the city (San Francisco) for nearly 20 years now.

I find kinship with those who truly know themselves.. I respect those who value the people in their lives, not only their loved ones, but those they don't yet know. I admire those who define life by their friendships, relationships, and the positive things they bring to the world, as opposed to a self-definition by status, power or money. Being curious and an observer by nature I'm always wanting to be learning and experiencing new things.

I would like a partner in life who shares some of my interests (above). While a physical attraction is important, I do believe there is MUCH more to chemistry than just the physical appeal. I would like to connect on all levels. I am attracted to women who are supportive, kind, caring, thoughtful and intelligent. Someone with a great personality who is interesting, introspective yet can also see outside of herself. I believe that a sense of humor is an essential element in dealing with life's ups and downs. I am best matched with confident yet down to earth, not fake or pretentious. Someone who is comfortable in her own skin. I prefer women who seek a 'partner' in life rather than someone to take care of them. Bonus points for quick-witted and an upbeat personality. I believe mutual chemistry is an all too rare gift. As for my dislikes: People who are: Self-centered; petty; inflexible and inconsistent.

Note: I am SO glad we now have grown ups in charge in the White House. Good riddance to W and his inept and corrupt band of criminals that did their best to ruin America. Suffice it to say that someone who doesn't understand how much damage W did to our country and the world, would NOT be a good match for me.

My intent is to meet new friends who are nice, fun and attractive, especially here in SF. I am also hoping to meet that special someone. I'm probably too choosy, but would honestly rather be single than be with someone I'm not absolutely crazy about. Although I do believe in serendipity, it can't hurt to help the process along.
