**Josh would like me to make the disclaimer that he is not usually this corny, but he thought his profile was a little less than interesting and needed a revamp.**

Greetings. My name is Cupid, and I'll be your tour guide for this profile experience. I realize this may not be the first profile you've looked at today, so let's make it interesting.

Join me for a quick field trip around Josh’s body. I know that sounds weird but hang with me; it might make sense in the end.

The eyes seem like a natural starting point. These deep-seated green windows to the soul can often be found across from a book. After finishing up a master’s in Applied Communication that involved mounds of required reading, Josh is reveling in the newfound free will of his reading choices. All-time favorites include Ishmael, Amusing Ourselves to Death, and Freedom of Simplicity. Currently, a mission to touch up on some classic fiction has Pride and Prejudice and Alice in Wonderland queued.

While we are up north, let’s take a look at Josh’s ears. Josh has normally-shaped ears (detached ear lobes) with which he loves to listen to music. Some of his favorite bands include Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, The National, and Tortoise (among others). He heads to Chicago for a show about every other month at least. The voice of a good friend, silence, and a nice storm also make the list of preferred ear stimuli.

Moving on to the fingers. You’ll notice the long fingers on Josh’s left hand are a bit calloused due to frequent trips up and down the fretboard of his guitar (bass, a little acoustic too). Callused fingers are attached to callused hands, because Josh enjoys lifting weights and working at the farm. He is helping friends in Delphi (about 30 minutes outside Lafayette) over the summer with some projects at their farm (goal: self-sustaining farm). He hopes you might like to visit sometime. Dinner, a bonfire, learn to milk a goat?

The feet seem like a natural follow-up to the hands, right? Only one interesting note here. Josh’s toenails are painted from time to time (currently: badly chipped pink) as his one form of creative bodily expression (now that messy spiked hair is in style) due to a desk job that keeps him looking fairly clean cut. These pretty toes belong to frequently-fatigued feet. Josh runs about 3 times each week and hopes to finish a half-marathon soon.

While I’m not authorized to take you inside of Josh’s head, I can give you some clues as to its contents. Thoughts about spirituality, human interaction, and ways to cultivate happiness can often be found bouncing around in there. Josh strives to cultivate thoughts of appreciation and thankfulness while decreasing thoughts of desire and consumption.
