I'm looking for a woman who IS who she says she wants to be. It is of no use to know who you WANT to be if you continue to be who you WERE. Look through the windshield - not the rear-view mirror. Goals are merely dreams unless they are achieved...then they become life. Don't talk the talk if you aren't strong enough to at least attempt to walk the walk. Saying you want something won't make it happen...you have to actually DO it. Words are merely letters put together to make a sound until they are put into action. Only then do words actually mean something.
I'm usually optimistic even in pessimistic circumstances. I have been given a lot of lemons in my life...maybe I should open up a lemonade stand. I could be Rich! It's not the hand you have been dealt, but how you play that wins the game. I am strong enough in mind and will to stand back up and dust myself off after life has hit me with a 1-2 punch. I have seen many sights and heard many sounds, and I have taken something from each. I've learned you can't change a person who justifies their wrongs. You can't TEACH common sense. You can't bribe trust. And you can't alter history. I try not to be bitter and I try not to regret. I try to try. I have learned many things - some of which I don't even know I have learned yet. But I will someday. And when someday gets here, I will finally know true happiness. Until then...

This is where I'm supposed to write about how I want to lay in front of a fire, in a blanket, with a nice drink, and gaze into the eyes of my lover. Well...wouldn't that be perfect and romantic? Actually, that is EXACTLY what I want! But, maybe a little much for a first date? I don't know. It sure beats the usual club or bar scene, trying to scream at each other over the loud music and obnoxious college kids. A movie? No, good conversation is my biggest turn on. A woman who can stimulate my mind at the same time that she stimulates my eyes really gets me going. If she can not only understand my sense of humor, but can throw it right back at me, I'm hooked. Dinner? Sure. But perhaps I make dinner and we sit on the area rug in front of the fireplace. Restaurants are nice...until it's someones birthday and you have to watch yet another public embarrassment while you're trying to enjoy an intimate moment. I guess my PERFECT date would be the one that ends with plans for a second date.
