I love travel and have lived and worked in Europe and Canada--my daughter lives in Switzerland so that is one frequent destination. My hobbies are finding and refinishing other's castoffs, gardening in my deck containers, interior decorating for myself and friends,and cooking.

Three words that describe me: goofy, quirky, passionate.
Three words that are NOT me: selfish, controlling, grouchy.

I enjoy baseball, football, hockey, soccer and most other sports. At some point in my life, I'd love to take up golf though I'm embarrassingly awful at mini-golf. I figure if my 89-year-old blind auntie can golf, how hard can it be? I walk on a regular basis and have completed the Breast Cancer 3-day walk 3 times. That's a 60-mile walk over a 3-day weekend. I enjoy camping and hiking in the mountains or at the beach.

I write poetry and have been published, including one time in Metro's Poetry on the Buses program. I started my college level learning at the age of 42 and graduated at the top of my class. I volunteer as a college level English tutor. I've been told I have a great sense of humor and a good attitude towards life. Having had many jobs over the years, including being self-employed, I now have a career I love, working with people I consider friends (including my boss).

My taste in music is very eclectic and I love to dance, even if sometimes it's by myself in my undies. I enjoy reading and have shelves full of books I can't part with. I like movies, but prefer to rent them rather than go out to the theater (the seats are more comfortable at home and I make better popcorn :))

I am a confessed Starbucks addict and can be found most nice Saturdays with a coffee and a book at my favorite downtown Bellevue park. I'd love to have a dog to walk in the park but with my schedule that doesn't work too well. I do have 4 cats though and I love them all dearly.

My kids are grown up and on their own. One son lives in this area. The other three are in Idaho, Pennsylvania and Switzerland.
