About Me
One thing I never tire of is seeing pictures of people who are with other people and they clearly have an expression of "cramping my style" on their face.
A lot of you ladies openly express your distaste for men posing topless, and a few other things (lol do you like beer?).
So, all things being equal... Puckered lip poses, standing behind a car that no one should have justification for spending the money on, posing with a cell phone glued to your head, wearing those big a$$ visor glasses (some are tastefull, too many are fugly) and being grossly mutilated by tats and piercings are not favoured well by me (grossly: i.e tattoo surface area is greater than regular skin). Just move along :) I'll accept that at the core you are all human beings, but that's about it. Almost forgot about the ladies who push out their chests in poses to grossly accentuate their boobs. LOL really? Is that fun? I bet that it would be more fun with my cawk between them :P
Ahhhh I'm dark and jaded!!!! More to come....
You might be thinking that I'm a misogynist. Perhaps. I'd prefer that my sons and grandsons don't end up becoming objects of vanity and consumers of their own fears and anxieties. Daughters and grandaughters I should add. There's a huge market out there catering to female vanity. Most of you have supported that market. Many of you take it for granted and treat it as commonplace. Well, that same market is dying to exploit men as well. There's already enough deadbeat dads, music, weed, and video games doing that. Thanks.
I used to hate the sound of a table top clock ticking away in the quiet of the night. Now it's become a source of solace.

In regard to the profile picture: I have both my thumbs. They are well and located where they should be.
I like to believe that I practice good health through exercise and eating real food. When I moved here a few months ago I purchased a can opener and I'm glad to report that I haven't used it yet. I cook, and cooking a nice meal, listening to good music, and being around friendly faces are at the top of my list of pleasures.
I eat meat. I no longer eat pork, except for some bacon found on the occassional all-day breaky. I don't really touch chicken anymore either. Someday I'll raise my own birds and eat them. I eat my beef from Rowe Farms and I like it a lot :)
Goals & aspirations would be... Making better use of and continuing my education. Finding a shared happiness and peace of mind with another. I'd like to fish for pike or speckeled trout more often.
I can be a grump at times. There's a lot of things about the general public that annoy me. A lot of waking unconsciousness going around and little leadership or positive role models to shed a different light. I do believe that society plays a very large role in behavioural engineering as B.F. Skinner would call it. I believe that people are what comprise society.
I don't gossip about people. I don't talk loud and pretentious, and I don't really like to talk about myself unless it's useful to the situation at hand. I'm soft spoken, soft footed, and have a soft touch.
Other times I'm as happy as mud, usually when I'm with people and a shared activity is at hand. Where the spotlight isn't on any one person and group harmony is paramount. This is a rare find. There's almost always a pecking order in most groups.
Falling in love is fun stuff too :)
I believe current mainstream urban pop culture and aggressive unrestricted marketing are contributing to higher levels of anxiety, impulse, egotism, and ignorance in society throughout. Applied psychology is used in commercials, ads, and videos to compell you to imitate and consume with a sense of urgency. We identify with something outside of ourselves and allow ourselves to feel a sense of ownership to it. Material things come and go so fast now a days that the sense of ownership is never isolated to a set of things. Because of this a form of psychological sublimation takes place in our culture and minds and our sense of entitlement is thus formed and internalized.
Hip hop was about social issues, good times, and mostly fairytale gangster adventurism. Today's rap music culture and the industries profitting off it are taking many North Americans on a race to the bottom. Year after year it's become more aggressive and its message is taken more seriously.
It's progressive like any other music. But It's also doing a great job at setting us off against one another and raising the bar for us to compete for material wealth status. This is where the rap industry and consumer marketing love each other. Have you ever seen a more branded genre of music?
As a music it has created more social divides that have nothing to do with entertainment and everything to do with ego, social standing. In other words rap's message often delivers a misguided view to what power and sucess are supposed to represent. This industry is doing nothing short of bridging the gap between us and the animal kingdom.
I grew up on hip hop and since the mid 90s I've seen the decline and sheer disregard Rap artists show to the effect of power that music has on the masses.
I was grew up under very social liberal environments. Academic culture truely is a world of its own. I believe that there's a certain realism that this side of culture is lacking and I believe it's hurting a lot of people in various ways. Perhaps even true objective thinking has been taken to the sidelines at the expense of political agenda and ideology. Idiology is great. For some it prepetuates the imagination. For many it indoctrinates their unexperienced minds. I can't wait to return to academia some day.
Another thing... A Graduate Degree, yea that's post undergrad. Unfortunately your high school diploma does not count :)
Read the Forward to Brave New world if you haven't.
Why does it seem that more often is the case that I am supposed to be sensitive to your values and beliefs before even being made aware of them? Another ugly face of this societal mess that has made us all feel so bloody entitled and important. There are more than one way to communicate what constitutes you. Don't assume that the stamp you chose to use is unfaltering--upheld by its own assertion. Don't be so lazy and pompous. You're living in a big city. It's nice to be surrounded by a conscientious community; however, it is not the bane of communities and never will be. Being too conscientious is inhibitive and can stray us away from more important relations. Full on egoism requires exceptional intuition. Few of us are there.
First Date
I'm easy. Ultimately I'm looking for long term but I'm cool with anything. Whatever we do together the exchange is going to have some substance. I'll be more than happy to show some chivalry, I can be quite charming. I'm not interested in a princess.
Please don't add me to your favorites. Snipers!!!
No "mysterious" women please. In man's language it often means that you're a whimsicle hedonist with thin loyalties.
