Do the math and count your blessings. Life is about learning, loving, caring and sharing. I would like to meet someone I can enjoy going out with. From there I’m not in any hurry. There is an awful lot to evaluate in relationships and of course everything takes time. So long as there is some initial chemistry, if it was meant to be, the rest comes naturally. Grain by grain a loaf, stone by stone a castle.

If it were meant to be, I would feel comfortable confiding in you and you would entrust that same confidence in me. I would like there to be many things we both enjoy doing together, as well as simply having common interests. I enjoy new experiences, I like making new friends and I have long waited to see more of the world. These things keep life exciting and enhance living. When the stars and moon align just right perhaps then I will meet the woman I am now meant to be with. Happiness isn't a goal it is a by-product.

If you value character traits such as honesty, humility and integrity you will recognize mine easily. I'm a rather straight forward and open person. Integrity is very important to me. I strive to be a decent man on all levels. I work for what I believe in and take care of those I love. I manage important things with an appropriate amount of seriousness while I laugh and make light of the frivolous.

I do have kids, (four) and of course love them all. I've had many experiences with them, not all of them pleasant. For a while there I thought they were trying to kill me. That aside, I've been caring, patient and loving. I treat all people with kindness and respect. This does not mean that I don't hold individuals accountable, I do. Myself included. Everyone should understand they're responsible for their own decisions. The tough love stuff has been tough. By the grace of God my kids are all fairly well adjusted, however I still plan on getting even with them in my old age.

Honestly, some parts of my life have beat me up pretty well. I sometimes made poor choices and other things were beyond my control. Although I wouldn't do everything differently I believe most of us would like a few Mulligans. The up shot is we are never too old to change direction. I have returned to night school for career purposes and I am attempting to learn how to play piano as a new hobby. Wish me luck.

I'm passionate and fun loving. I like to keep things simple and joke around. I can't describe myself as someone who will make you laugh till it hurts, it might be more like chuckling with quite a bit of smiling. I'm a confident man with nothing to hide and nothing to prove. Food for thought: an objective of education is not necessarily to learn things but sometimes to unlearn things. We must be able to evaluate situations and reach the correct conclusions. While ignorance is a voluntary misfortune the complete fool is part prophet. (Meaning even the ignorant guess right part of the time) The greatest freedom we all posses is the freedom to choose our attitudes yet our greatest weakness lies in giving up and giving in. Our handicaps exist only in our mind. Our life is what our thoughts make it; we are the architect of our own fortunes. Our fears always outnumber our dangers and our pain and suffering are rooted in our desires. A content person can never be ruined. Instead of seeking new landscapes develop new eyes. Character is habit long continued. Character building begins in infancy and continues till death for better or worse. Take your own inventory, do not find fault, find a remedy, live right, live well!

I suppose it all depends on the circumstances. Sometimes a Saturday afternoon lunch works nicely. The first date is not about romance it's simply a chance for people to meet face to face.
