The journey is the reward. Too often people focus straight ahead and don't stop to appreciate the little stuff along the way. I am a very laid back, yet driven person. I love the restaurant industry and work as a manager at a great restaurant downtown. I'm learning as much as I can before one day opening my own place. I'm also about to go back to school to get my teaching certificate for early childhood education. I find joy in the simple things in life such as taking my dog to the park, a good game of clue, sitting on a patio with a good book, sunday mornings with meet the press, and dancing like nobody's watching. I'm a true believer in finding the humor in all things, especially yourself, it's important to embrace one's inner dork. Not down with the whole "too cool for school" thing. I am very passionate about music and go see a lot of it. I can't play anything, but I can listen real, real good. I'm open to all kinds of music. I may not care for a genre as a whole but can usually find something within it I like. Example- don't love country- LOVE me some Willie. I'm very open minded in just about every aspect of my life. I think my greatest virtue is empathy. I may not agree with something but I'll at least understand it. It's important to know both sides of the coin no matter which side you call. My family is my biggest influence thoughout my life and I love them dearly even though I may not see them that often.

On my first dates I like to go bowling, play putt-putt, dinner, shoot pool, wrestle crocodiles, play connect four, anything to get a good sense of who I'm with.
