Hi ladies, I am sorry but I do not drive a truck, have never been on a quad or snowmobile, drink my wine or beer out of a glass (no bags or bottles UNLESS DESPERATE) and believe I know what is required to have a successful relationship and keep the partner happy. Hobbies include, cycling (road and mtn.), DH and XC skiing, cooking, gardening, woodworking, listening to music, photography,renovating. I tend to be reserved, I am not a braggart, which makes this task a little difficult to do.

I heard a great one recently on the ski lift from a british gentleman. "She has bags of character". That stuck with me most of the day and I believe puts into a succicnt few words, my requirements in a partner. My goals are to find someone to share the rest of my life with(ideally). I have learned a lot about myself in the past few years and know what I am looking for. I would like my partner to be intelligent, athletic or active, have "bags of character" (varied interests), be fiscally secure, happy, and appealing to my eye.

What makes me unique? I am not your "normal" or "typical" guy from my perspective. I don't ride ATVs or skidoos or hunt. I have never clubbed a seal. I don't take photos with my car (I do have one with my bike though).:) I don't particularly like sports on TV. I like going for walks and spending time with my "date/partner". I am not a bar fly, though I do like the occasional night out at a good brewpub or fine dining establishment. I try to flyfish (ask the fish what they think of my technique - laughing is not something I like to see fish to do). I am secure (good in these uncertain times).
My taste in music. Well, I am going to have to say eclectic because I don't feel there is any other way to describe it. I like almost everything which includes; rock, country, jazz, blues, R&B, classic. I don't like disco and rap, but other than that, pretty well anything goes. A CKUA fan would be a bonus.

A first date. I am all new to dating as the last time I did so was over 25 years ago. At that time, I feel the meaning was very different. Now, it appears, any meeting is considered a date by some. So based on my 25 year old memory, it would be something like this:

It would depend on the person for sure. It might be a ski and then a night out somewhere for fine food. It might be a meal out at a nice restaurant and a movie, or, I might cook at home. It all would depend on the person, their comfort level and what I thought was appropriate. I have a variety of tastes which can suit numerous requirements. I am flexible, at least in my definition.
