About Me
I have loved blues, jazz, classic rock and classical music and life in Iowa City for 33 years. I renovated two historic houses, and my livelihood is renting to U of Iowa folks, half of whom are international.
I was raised in Chicago, went to college, 'back to the land' in Maine log cabin, raised a son and daughter, and earned a degree in Library Science. I am concerned with ethics, the environment, and am politically liberal. I'm involved in community and historic preservation. I read about science, technology, and current issues. I like to cook for a friend and chat in the kitchen. Healthy food, dancing, and general fitness are important to me.
My two adult kids are married and in medical careers. I have a smart new dog. I would like to bike and hike in the woods. I would like to travel in US and EU with a friend and lover. One person is needed to fill that essential role in my life!
First Date
I like 'coffee' and conversation. Then maybe take a walk, or if raining, a museum. Second date probably a nice dinner out, then find live music we would both like.
