I have many contradictions to my personality. I am a perpetual kid at heart even though I was forced to grow up way too young. I consistently wear my heart on my sleeve all the while only opening up to people who I know I can trust. I'm an eternal optimist, which has served me well thus far. I try to listen to my instincts in most situations. they rarely steer me down the wrong path, and so far I've found most times if it has I was not yet ready for the situation at hand. I recently moved to L. A. from the S. F. Bay Area to follow those instincts and my happiness. I've been here a little over 2 years so far and I must say it's treated me well. At least on the career end anyways. I was incredibly lucky and have a good career lined up for me. I still have a few more years of paying my dues ahead of me but at least my next few steps are within my sights. However meeting new people is difficult outside of work. I'm not a bar/club kind of guy, never have been. I would much rather prefer a glass of wine in nice little restaurant or cuddling up on the couch for a movie. I usually prefer the more intimate settings. I love to cook. Even more so when its for friends or loved ones. I love taking road trips. I will frequently drive around just to get lost and then find my way home again. I like the outdoors. Hiking or camping when i can find time to get away. I tend to have a very laid back personality and roll with the punches well. I have a unique sense of humor and laugh in just about any situation especially when its on myself. I'm a hopeless romantic, when I'm lucky enough to have somebody to be romantic with. I'm comfortable with the weight of the world on my shoulders, and at the end of the day I'm looking for that special someone who when i need it can help me bear that weight, if only for a little while. I want to find my best friend. Somebody who makes me happy just thinking about her and who i can't wait to come home to. I could go on but I've rambled about me for enough now, if you want to know more just ask :)

I suppose that would depend on the type of chemistry we have created before actually going on that first date. Everybody likes to bash the dinner and a movie thing as a bad first date and don't get me wrong I see where you're coming from, but there is nothing wrong with going to the movies. Moonlit strolls on the beach or jumping out of a airplane are fine things too, but I don't really think its first date material.
