Easy going, easy to talk to, intelligent, open minded with a sense of humor. Confident not arrogant. I have diverse interests, I am pretty easy to get along with. I am looking to make new friends. I like talking to new people. I admire and am attracted to intelligence.

My life in a nutshell, grew up in a small town in Montana, joined the Navy out of High School where I tracked submarines, drug runner's and terrorists, went to over 20 countries and got a degree. I also got married to someone from Grand Juction which did not work out. But we had an amazing daughter and are still good friends so no regrets.

I know how to cook, clean and do laundry. I value comunication. I find joy in the little things. I don't need someone but I think life is better when shared. I am not perfect but I try to make the world a better place. My daughter says I am the best daddy in the whole world so I have that going for me.

What am I looking for? I belive I will know it when I find it. A connection, true love. I would hope to share some common interests. Someone who challanges me, who inspires me to be a better person. Someone to share with. Companionship. I will take cute over pretty. I think smart is sexy.

I am saving for a suit of shining armor but they are expensive.

My pictures suck but it is difficult to take your own photo. I have tried to post pictures that accurately depict myself. One person did say I look better in person. The usual complaint with internet dating is when actually meeting the person is not what they made themselves out to be. I don't get that, do people think they won't notice the 50 lbs they gained or 10 years they have aged since the photo was taken? There are so many profiles that say they want a "nice" guy. But seems they also want him to look like a movie star. I have been on here awhile; I don't respond to many profiles but if you take the time to write I will write back. I have manners and I know the difference between assertive and aggressive.

I think it is best meet for coffee or a short walk in the park first. Get the awkward stuff out of the way and hopefully come away looking forward to an actual date.

Something fun that allows conversation. It isn't what you do but the company you keep. Dinner, going for a walk, Farmers Market, Bannanas for mini golf. Is playing scrabble a date?
