Whatcha looking for? At the age we're at, most of us have been there; done that. If we're not settled financially, emotionally and maturity wise, will we ever be? I feel like I'm pretty settled with things to look forward to ahead of me. Like most of us, I stay pretty busy with a job (4 days a week), 2 dogs, my children and their families, my house and what goes into the yard work and cleaning (UGH!). I'd like to fill some of my free time with someone special, someone I have an attraction for and who feels likewise towards me (a unique concept, right?).

If any, hopefully most, of my interests are along the lines of what you like to do, I'd like to hear from you. I have more, but put a few on here as a starting point. I have to add that I enjoy cooking out. I'm not a hiker as such, but I enjoy walking and am open to hiking and most likely some other things you might do. I read a lady's profile where she said guys should put whether they are into motorcycles or not. I'm not. I can imagine getting one of those with a side car and strapping my dogs in and taking off. They are more thrill seekers than I am.

Reality says a couple should become friends first. I'm guilty of sometimes getting too deep into a relationship too quickly and later regretting it, so I've changed how I look at taking my time getting to know you, as you should with me.

Things I don't like, in no particular order; rudeness, egomaniacs, selfish people, thiefs and liars of course, women who curse frequently (it's not lady-like), men who curse excessively (why do they?), people who are bad drivers or road hogs. Gotta be more to add later.

If you smoke, please be considerate of me and the others around us.

I realize it's an illness and very serious, but if you're bipolar I've been through that and don't want to experience it again.

I go to church, love my family and my country. A little reserved till I get to know you. Not into pro sports. Love college football and baseball. Picnics and a day in a park suit me fine. Not an on-the-go all the time type guy but not glued to the tv either. Do like the computer and what it offers. Listen to country and oldies. Can dance-a little, but not into the club thing. Satisfied to watch a movie on the DVD most nights. Caring, honest, non smoker, light drinker, D/D free.

I am clean, dress okay, not fat-but not gym-toned either, have a good sense of humor, okay income, well educated.

I think meeting at a park or mall, taking in a short walk and determining whether there's mutual interest is a good approach for a first time out. There's also the Starbucks thing and that's okay. One thing I'm not comfortable with upon meeting is going to a movie. Maybe you have a good thought and I'd welcome the input.
