I am a busy, energetic, adventurous woman with a rewarding and demanding professional career that I love. I am happily divorced, with two grown children: a 22 year old daughter who is living in Italy and an 18 year old son headed for college out of state in the fall. I am about to be completely on my own for the first time in my life, and, while my kids are awesome and I dig the heck out of them, I am overjoyed at the possibilities.

I am financially and personally independent but enjoy, and miss, the physical and emotional connection and companionship of a man in my life. I am a warm, compassionate, joyful, opinionated, funny, intelligent woman who likes to have fun and tries not to take herself too seriously. I love to travel, both foreign and local, and enjoy weekend road trips. I love all kinds of music, particularly blues, reggae, soul, R&B, classic rock,alternative and indie. I love to hear live music in small venues, especially if there's a dance floor. I love to hang out with friends, enjoy a meal and engage in lively conversation and debate. Except to listen to music or see a show, I don't hang out in bars. I like swimming, skiing, hiking, and try to get to the gym on a regular basis. I'd like to meet a man who is young at heart, has a life and his own group of friends, and is looking to share some of it with a like-minded woman. He enjoys travel, can be spontaneous and flexible and is aware of, and concerned with, the larger world around him. An interest in culture, the arts, history and politics would be a big plus, but it's not a shopping list. I'm a great cook, but being a homebody, cooking and gardening as a steady diet is not my style I'm afraid. I can't tell you anything about a single popular TV show, either. I'm easy-going and don't get frazzled when things don't go according to plan. I'm always happy to go with "Plan B." Personal growth on an intellectual and spiritual level, a mind-blowing physical relationship and generously supporting each others' aspirations and goals are what I believe make an enduring relationship possible.

I believe first dates should be kept short, sweet and public, and allow for a graceful exit if the chemistry and attraction isn't happening for one or both individuals (and permit some flexibility in the other direction as well.) Beyond that, I'm open.
