Who am I?
-I'm certainly more unique as a sum of my parts, rather than any one thing in particular that's supposed to make me stand out. I'm just your average guy, proudly carrying the nerd/geek banner. I'm pretty friendly, but I typically need a little time to warm up to new people. I tend to be a bit quiet at first, especially when lots of people are around. I'm really open minded and fairly easy-going, and I'm pretty straightforward and honest; I'm not big on hiding things. I laugh at a lot of things, and much of my own humor comes from my observations, typically presented via sarcasm and being a smartass (funny rather than mean-spirited). Anything else you're free to ask. Out of all likelihood, I'll be glad to answer you.

What I'm doing / Where I'm going
-Currently working in a grocery store primarily as a dairy/frozen food stocker and a backup trainer for new hire and cashier classes. On top of that, currently working my way through school to a Math major so I can teach high school.

What I do
-I'm into a lot of nerdy/geeky kinda stuff. I'm an avid gamer with a variety of tastes, but I tend to like more action-oriented games, platformers, and role-playing games. I also enjoy Magic: The Gathering, mainly for the creative, mechanical, and social aspects of the game. I watch some anime when I have the time, and I try to read up in manga, comics, and a small variety of books (usually fantasy/sci-fi and several of Crichton's novels). I enjoy spending time with my friends, but it's hard to coordinate several schedules to get everyone together too often.

Music
-I can listen to a lot of music, but my favorite tends to be various subgenres of rock, metal, and alternative. Much of what I like tends to have a very strong melodic focus; I tend not to be a huge fan of ambient or trance-esque kinda stuff. A random sampling of artists: The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Queensryche, Sammy Hagar (solo and w/ Van Halen), Matchbox 20, Barenaked Ladies, Guns n Roses, Freezepop, etc.

Ideally, the first date would be something casual and simple. I like the idea of having dinner somewhere not necessarily fancy, but certainly not fast food. Somewhere with good food and time to talk and get to know each other a bit more. Afterwards, either hanging out somewhere or checking out a movie.
