I am trying to find friends because I know that all relationships begin with friendship. I am a very diverse person with many interests, most relating to genealogy, history, emergency service work, but have many interests other than those. I am very broad minded and have a scope of knowledge regarding many things. I am that 'jack of all trades and a master of none'.
I love the outdoors. I love to go camping, fishing, boating, relax next to a creek, pond or on a lake--especially with a rod and reel and hoping for a nice catfish to bite. I love animals, although, I am allergic to dogs--which I hate being allergic to dogs because I love dogs!
I DO NOT like 'chick flicks', but, I did like the Titanic movie! I like action, mystery, real story, comedy and sci-fi movies. Pretty much the same with books and TV shows. (Right now I'm addicted to the CBS sitcom: The Big Bang Theory!)
I pretty much like rock music, but, also, like jazz, blues, blue grass, celtic and a little bit of country.
I'm a 'do it yourself' person. I work on my own vehicle and have knowledge about carpentry, plumbing, etc, but, unfortunately, many times need to borrow man muscles to get the job completed! :)
I spent 25 years, of my life, with a man that said he loved me. I believed him. But 9 days after our 25th wedding anniversary he had a 'mid life crisis'. That ended our marriage.
The one thing that I want MOST, whether in a friend or other, is HONESTY.
I am building a new life and I am hoping to find that 'someone special' to be a part of it. One thing that I will no longer live without, from someone special to me, is being treated like a lady. I am a lady. My name, in Spanish, means lady. I have set goals for my life and I AM achieving them. I don't want someone to try to change me because I really am a good, honest, and and caring person. I promise I will not try to change anyone.
Do not mistake my sincerity for a person that doesn't like to have a good time. I love going out dancing and socializing, etc. I can be the 'life of the party' or the person that let's someone else hold the spot light. I love the balance of doing that and having a home life. I will never turn down the chance to find, another, good friend in the process.

A meeting for coffee or a soda, or lunch, or dinner and maybe a movie. It needs to be in a public place and would be nice to be able to talk to get to know each other and comfortable for both of us. It doesn't have to be something lavish. I'm not a high maintenance person! It has to be something I can afford because I pay my half for a first meeting. Would be nice to be a meeting at a place where we could laugh, have fun and just enjoy the place along with the meeting.
